GIREVE’s comprehensive solution to locate electric vehicle (EV) charging points will be integrated into Allianz Partners’ roadside assistance operations to better support EV drivers across Europe
RICHMOND, VA, February 3, 2021 — Allianz Partners, a world leader in B2B2C insurance and assistance, is enhancing its roadside assistance offer for electric vehicle drivers with the ability to locate charging stations fully integrated into its incident management system. Offering the greatest coverage of charging points across Europe, GIREVE provides access to a comprehensive charging equipment database as well as real-time availability of charging spots and remote access to bookings.
With this new solution, Allianz Partners confirms its commitment to developing e-mobility services to better accompany EV drivers and offer high-quality customer service. Allianz Partners aims to improve the customer experience by providing essential, high-quality data such as real time updates on station availability and by displaying key information (access hour, type of connector, charging power, etc.).
The partnership, which was launched in France in January 2021 and is being expanded across Europe, marks another milestone in Allianz Partners’ global strategy around electric mobility. In June 2020, Allianz Partners launched a turnkey offer in partnership with EVBox, a pioneer in EV charging, and ENGIE Solutions, a tailored solutions provider for energy transition. In March 2020, Allianz Partners joined CharIN as a core member of the association to unify charging around the combined charging system standard.
From 2021 onwards, Allianz Partners will provide customers with specific roadside assistance solutions designed specifically for electric vehicles, including a dedicated call centre for EV owners, reachable by the click of a button installed in the car. Offering a complete range of EV services, Allianz Partners is a privileged partner of many car manufacturers for electric vehicle assistance and insurance.
“Allianz Partners is already deeply involved in the sustainable and electric mobility transition. Adding GIREVE’s data to our systems and processes will help improve and simplify the customer experience of EV assistance. We are constantly adapting our services to new customer behaviours and are committed to high-quality delivery thanks to the effective management of our network charging stations,” comments Jérôme Joubert, Chief Marketing Officer for Roadside Assistance, Allianz Partners.
“We are happy to work with Allianz Partners and contribute to enhancing its EV services for drivers. An EV driver running out of battery needs dedicated assistance to locate compatible and available charging stations nearby. This is why the combination of our companies is a key asset to improve the driver experience and to keep on fostering EV adoption,” adds Armand Gallet, Business Development Manager, GIREVE
