A pre-existing medical condition is an injury, illness or medical condition that exhibited symptoms or was treated on, or within the 120 days prior to, the purchase date of your plan. Your plan includes a waiver of the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions if you meet the requirements listed in your plan (See Plan Details below); otherwise, the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions will apply. Maximum coverage for pre-existing medical conditions is limited to the trip cancellation or trip interruption coverage limit (as applicable), not to exceed $50,000.

* “Trip cost” is equal to the price for travel expenses you are booking on our partner’s website at the time you purchase insurance. It does not include any trip expenses booked separately, gift cards, or merchandise, so the trip cost insured may not include the full cost of your planned travel. Insuring additional trip costs requires additional premium. Minimum amount of Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage purchasable under this plan is $300 per person. Maximum amount of Trip Cancellation coverage (covered reason) purchasable under this plan is $50,000 per person. Maximum amount of Trip Cancellation coverage (other documented, unforeseen reason) purchasable under this plan is $37,500 per person. Maximum amount of Trip Interruption coverage purchasable under this plan is $50,000 per person.

Since your satisfaction is our priority, we are pleased to provide you 15 days (or more, depending on your state of residence) to review your plan.  If, during this period, you are not completely satisfied for any reason, you may cancel your plan and receive a full refund of the plan price.  After this period, the plan price is nonrefundable. 

Please note, no refund is available if the trip has started, a claim has been filed, or the policy has ended.

Terms of Use

FRAUD WARNINGS

Alabama: Any person who knowingly presents a false or fraudulent claim for payment of a loss or benefit or who knowingly presents false information in an application for insurance is guilty of a crime and may be subject to restitution fines or confinement in prison, or any combination thereof.

California: For your protection California law requires the following to appear on this form: Any person who knowingly presents false or fraudulent information to obtain or amend insurance coverage or to make a claim for the payment of a loss is guilty of a crime and may be subject to fines and confinement in state prison.

District of Columbia: WARNING: It is a crime to provide false or misleading information to an insurer for the purpose of defrauding the insurer or any other person. Penalties include imprisonment and/or fines. In addition, an insurer may deny insurance benefits if false information materially related to a claim was provided by the applicant.

Florida: Any person who knowingly and with intent to injure, defraud, or deceive any insurer files a statement of claim or an application containing any false, incomplete, or misleading information is guilty of a felony of the third degree.

Kentucky: Any person who knowingly and with intent to defraud any insurance company or other person files an application for insurance containing any materially false information or conceals, for the purpose of misleading, information concerning any fact material thereto commits a fraudulent insurance act, which is a crime.

Arkansas, Louisiana, Rhode Island, West Virginia: Any person who knowingly presents a false or fraudulent claim for payment for a loss or benefit or knowingly presents false information in an application for insurance is guilty of a crime and may be subject to fines and confinement in prison.

Maine, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington: It is a crime to knowingly provide false, incomplete or misleading information to an insurance company for the purposes of defrauding the company. Penalties may include imprisonment, fines or a denial of insurance benefits.

Maryland: Any person who knowingly or willfully presents a false or fraudulent claim for payment of a loss or benefit or who knowingly or willfully presents false information in an application for insurance is guilty of a crime and may be subject to fines and confinement in prison.

New Jersey: Any person who includes any false or misleading information on an application for an insurance policy is subject to criminal and civil penalties.

New Mexico: ANY PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY PRESENTS A FALSE OR FRAUDULENT CLAIM FOR PAYMENT OF A LOSS OR BENEFIT OR KNOWINGLY PRESENTS FALSE INFORMATION IN AN APPLICATION FOR INSURANCE IS GUILTY OF A CRIME AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO CIVIL FINES AND CRIMINAL PENALTIES.

New York: Any person who knowingly and with intent to defraud any insurance company or other person files an application for insurance or statement of claim containing any materially false information, or conceals for the purpose of misleading, information concerning any fact material thereto, commits a fraudulent insurance act, which is a crime, and shall also be subject to a civil penalty not to exceed five thousand dollars and the stated value of the claim for each such violation.

Ohio: Any person who, with intent to defraud or knowing that he is facilitating a fraud against an insurer, submits an application or files a claim containing a false or deceptive statement is guilty of insurance fraud.

Oklahoma: WARNING: Any person who knowingly, and with intent to injure, defraud or deceive any insurer, makes any claim for the proceeds of an insurance policy containing any false, incomplete or misleading information is guilty of a felony.

Oregon: Any person who knowingly and willfully with intent to injure or defraud any insurance company presents a claim for payment of a loss containing any materially false, incomplete, or misleading information may be guilty of insurance fraud and may be subject to criminal and/or civil penalties.

Pennsylvania: Any person who knowingly and with intent to defraud any insurance company or other person files an application for insurance or statement of claim containing any materially false information or conceals for the purpose of misleading, information concerning any fact material thereto commits a fraudulent insurance act, which is a crime and subjects such person to criminal and civil penalties.
